Linville Capital draws its name from Linville Gorge. One of the largest and oldest canyons in the US, it has been carved by the persistent flow of the Linville River, representing a patient, deliberate process of creation.

Hollis co-founded Linville and is responsible for the overall operations and management of, as well as capital structuring for the firm’s investment strategies. Hollis has more than 20 years of experience in the acquisition, development, management, and disposition of multifamily housing. He has been a key principal in the development of more than 100 multifamily properties across the southeastern United States. Prior to Linville, he was a founder, the CEO, and Chairman of the Fitch Irick Corporation, where he closed and deployed over $1 billion of capital commitments. Hollis grew Fitch Irick from a team of 3 people to a vertically integrated multifamily affordable housing development, acquisition, and management firm with over 500 employees. Fitch Irick manages nearly 15,000 multifamily affordable housing units across 8 states. Hollis was named in Affordable Housing Finance Magazine’s Top 40 under 40 in 2022. He holds a B.A. in Real Estate and Finance from the University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business. He and his wife live in Charlotte, NC, with their three children and enjoy skiing, fly fishing, and flying in their spare time.

Robert leads Linville Capital’s investment strategy. Prior to joining Linville, Robert founded SAI in 2011 and served as its Managing Partner. Prior to founding SAI, Robert was the founding partner of Cambium Capital, The Deaton Partnership, and Fat Pitch Capital private investment partnerships focused on public equities. Previously, Robert was a founding member of Bennett Lawrence Management, a New York-based investment management company that grew to over $2B in assets under management during his tenure at the firm.

Robert holds an AB from Davidson College, an MBA from Vanderbilt University, and is a CFA Charterholder. Robert is an active member of numerous community organizations. He served on the Advisory Board for the John M. Belk Scholarship at Davidson College and is the Co-Chairman of the Board of the Physicians’ Impact Fund. He is the former Chairman of the Board of the Novant Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation and the former Member of the Board of Trustees and Treasurer at The Fletcher School. He is also a former 3-term member of the Vanderbilt University School of Business Alumni Board and is a past two-term member of both the Board of Visitors at Davidson College and the Davidson Athletic Foundation. Robert and his wife live in Charlotte, NC, enjoy playing golf, and have 2 boys.

Head of Finance / Partner

Brannon leads Linville Capital’s debt and equity financing for our conventional and affordable multifamily housing strategies. He is also responsible for ensuring the firm’s regulatory compliance. With over 20 years of experience providing development, construction, and acquisition capital for commercial real estate ventures, he has structured more than $2 billion in equity and debt transactions. Prior to co-founding Linville, Brannon served as an EVP and Group President for the Commercial Banking division of Seacoast Bank. Before Seacoast, Brannon spent 18+ years with BB&T (now Truist Bank) in various roles, including commercial loan officer and real estate lender, middle market banker, and market president. During his banking tenure, Brannon structured debt and treasury solutions for enterprises with annual sales ranging from $5 million to $1.5 billion. This experience provided him with deal acumen that is central to our multifamily private-equity strategy.

Brannon holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Georgia and an MBA from the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. Brannon and his wife have 2 children and reside in Charlotte, NC.

Charlie Irick

Charlie is responsible for overseeing development investments made by Linville. Specifically, he identifies markets, collaborates with joint venture partners, and monitors high level development activities to ensure growth is strategically and effectively accomplished. Charlie has spent over 20 years in affordable housing and has been a key principal in the development of more than $0.6 billion of affordable housing assets. As the former Chief Development Officer and founding member of the Fitch Irick Corporation, he has successfully managed the development or rehabilitation of over 4,000 housing units, managed hundreds of relationships with key affordable housing industry players, and ensured that development capital was deployed efficiently, profitably, and impactfully. Charlie takes pride in making sure Linville’s development platform is as profitable as it is impactful.

Charlie holds a BS in Real Estate and Finance from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. He and his wife live in Charlotte, NC, with their three children and enjoy attending sports and music events, the outdoors, and traveling.

Head of Acquisitions / Partner

Drew leads our investment strategy in conventional multifamily housing. Prior to joining Linville, Drew was a Partner at Southeast Apartment Investors (SAI), where he made over 20 investments in residential real estate, representing over $500 million in total capitalization. Before joining SAI, Drew was an associate at Summit Park, a private investment firm focused on acquisitions of lower middle market businesses across several industries. Previously, he served as an analyst at Jefferies in the investment banking division.

Drew holds a BS from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Drew serves on the Advisory Board of the White Ruffin Byron Center for Real Estate at the University of Virginia and serves on the Real Estate Committee of Daly Seven, Inc., a hotel management and development company with over 40 properties located in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. He previously served on the Board of Directors of KindHeart, Inc., a surgical simulation startup that was acquired by Intuitive Surgical, Inc. Drew and his wife have three sons and reside in Charlotte, NC.

Ira oversees acquisitions and dispositions for Linville’s affordable housing investments. Linville targets portfolio acquisitions of both LIHTC and USDA RD properties throughout the U.S.

He has spearheaded the ownership transfers of more than 250 individual affordable housing partnerships totaling more than $1 billion in net asset value. As the former Chief Operating Officer of Fitch Irick Corporation, Ira spent over 10 years overseeing asset management, disposition, and acquisition functions. As a licensed real estate broker, he was the Broker-in-Charge for Fitch Irick Management LLC, Fitch Irick Corporation’s property management subsidiary. Ira has over 20 years of vital commercial real estate experience across a number of asset classes, ensuring that he can see the whole picture of profitable asset growth. Before joining Fitch Irick Corporation, Ira managed a $25 million real estate acquisition fund, which he successfully exited.

Ira holds a BS in Marketing, MBA, and MS in Health Science from the University of Florida. He is the past Chair of the Foundation for the Charlotte Jewish Community and has served on the executive boards of the Jewish Federation of Greater Charlotte and Temple Israel of Charlotte. Ira is married with 3 grown kids. When not working, he is skiing, travelling, or looking for a good bottle of bourbon.
